I am very lucky to have come from a generation of kind, intelligent and strong women. My grandmothers passed away at aged 101 years and the other 98 years old. These awe inspiring, wonderful, women opitimised the meaning of "ageing gracefully". As much as we were blessed to have them with us as long as we did, they were also fortunate to have a loving family around them who were able to support them live happily and with dignity in their own homes. Witnessing my grandmothers live such long and fulfilled lives reinforced my belief you should be able to live independently with dignity and privacy in the comfort of your own home for life. It also highlighted the need for a personalised and quality service to support individuals and their families and loved ones cope with the physical and emotional effects of aging, injury or illness in the comfort and safety of their own surroundings.
